The Yachtsman isn’t a tour company. It’s Carlos — a local, a passionate sailor, and the heart behind every cruise. After years of dreaming about a life on the water, Carlos turned his love for boats and the Douro into something personal: a boutique experience where guests could feel the beauty of Porto the way he does — quietly, comfortably, and away from the crowds.
With only one boat and a maximum of ten guests, every cruise is intentionally small and thoughtfully guided. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply enjoying a few peaceful hours on the river, Carlos is there — not just to steer the boat, but to share the story of the river, pour you a glass of wine, and make sure every moment feels easy, relaxed, and just right.
